Engagement

Statutory financial audit

A full-period examination of your financial statements under Taiwanese reporting norms, ending in an independent auditor’s opinion and a management letter.

Who this is for

Directors and finance teams of limited companies that need an independent opinion on annual (or interim) financial statements — for shareholders, banks, regulators, or group reporting.

What you receive

  • An engagement letter defining period, materiality approach, and deliverables
  • Planning meetings with your finance lead to map accounts, systems, and known risks
  • Fieldwork: substantive testing, cut-off procedures, and walkthroughs of key controls
  • Draft findings discussion before the opinion is finalized
  • Signed auditor’s report and a management letter of observations
  • One follow-up call within 30 days of report issuance

What is not included

Bookkeeping, preparation of the statements themselves, tax filing, or valuation opinions. If your books need cleanup first, we can recommend a bookkeeper or scope a separate readiness review.

How long it takes

Typical mid-market engagements run six to ten weeks from kickoff to signed report, depending on account complexity and how quickly supporting documents arrive. Manufacturing and trading clients with inventory counts usually need an on-site visit during stock-taking.

Where we work

Fieldwork is performed at your premises in and around Taipei Hsien and the northern Taiwan corridor, with working-paper review from our Chungyang Road office. Remote document rooms are fine for follow-up queries.

Pricing basis

Fees are quote-based on turnover, entity count, and risk profile. See our fees page for starting ranges, then request an engagement letter with your last closing pack summary.

Next step

Send your latest trial balance period, entity structure, and preferred report date. We reply within two business days with scoping questions or a draft letter.
